GUIDE WHEELS: Guide wheels are recommended for loads above 10,000 lbs. (4,540 kg.) Wheels are actuated by air springs which force wheels against floor. Prevents drifting on floor slopes and when changing directions. May be retracted for lateral movement.
AerGlide Air caster platforms are carefully designed to suit your needs, from gently floating an aircraft engine in the production line from one station to the next.
Our design is created to ensure an economical energy saving option. Direction is controlled by a central guide wheel that is retractable and to move a 2 ton mass takes a gentle push by the technician or using an inbuilt pneumatic drive that is also available as a hitched Drive Tractor.
Standard light duty pallet transporters are available. and we provide standard heavy duty types with Drive Tractors in varied sizes and combinations that include central guide wheels or side mounted guide wheels for in plant automation with complete automation solutions such as the one seen on our achievements page in the car park. This innovation allows a "dumb" platform to be used with no umbilical, all air is provided from the float surface using a specialized patented system allowing multiple platforms to be added as needed from the platform storage area where they are stacked automatically.
